This project involved replacing an outdated conservatory with a full-width rear extension, extending both wider and deeper to create a bright, open-plan living space tailored for modern family life. The new layout connects the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas seamlessly, with a strong emphasis on natural light and flow.

A standout architectural feature is the installation of floating corner bifold doors — a fully openable corner design with no fixed post — allowing the interior to spill effortlessly into the garden and creating an uninterrupted indoor-outdoor experience.

The flooring throughout is laid with wood-effect tiles, offering the warmth and character of real wood with the practicality and durability of porcelain. Paired with underfloor heating, the space stays cosy in winter and refreshingly cool in summer — ideal for a room flooded with natural light from the roof lantern and expansive glazing.

The kitchen, designed and fitted by Smithfields, features matte, clay-toned cabinetry — a warm, earthy finish that adds depth and softness without any gloss or shine. All appliances are by Neff, including a warming drawer, which is a fantastic addition for both everyday use and entertaining. A Quooker 5-in-1 tap adds modern convenience, delivering chilled, boiling, sparkling, filtered, and standard hot and cold water — removing the need for a kettle entirely.

Two integrated fridge freezers sit side by side and open in opposite directions, offering the look and practicality of an American-style fridge while maintaining a sleek, built-in aesthetic.

To the far right of the kitchen, a stylish bar area adds a fun, social touch. Opposite, a gorgeous marble dining table by Richmond Interiors becomes the room’s focal point, paired with Timothy Oulton’s iconic Mimi chairs — adding a luxurious finish and timeless silhouette.

In the lounge area, a Smithfields sofa brings softness and elegance to the space. Generously filled with a mix of foam, silicone, and feathers, it offers unbeatable comfort — the kind of seating that’s truly irresistible.
